Solaris Sigma Aircraft Announcement

North County Airport, West Palm Beach, FL. July 5, 2001 - SOLARIS AVIATION, INC. today announced that they plan to introduce their FAA certified, Sigma line of all-composite, four place, retractable gear aircraft at EAA's "Airventure 2001" July 24-30 at Oshkosh, WI.

"Ours is an experienced aviation-management team that starts with a lot going for us" said David Schuldt, Chairman of the Board of SOLARIS AVIATION, INC. He noted, "we have the newest all-composite aircraft to enter the General Aviation world market and we are entering in grand style. SOLARIS AVIATION is starting with a line of both retractable gear and fixed gear, four place aircraft. Some of these models are capable of speeds over 210 knots!"

Company President, Nick Schneider, added, "the really important fact is that this aircraft is already FAA Certified, including Certification for IFR flight". With gull-wing doors, on each side of the fuselage, the SOLARIS models Sigma 230, 250 and 310 will be introduced at the EAA's Oshkosh "Airventure 2001" (Space #271). This is an authoritative looking aircraft, with a very contemporary appearance. Its wide-track trailing link, retractable gear, can make every landing a point of pride for any pilot. The design has smooth laminar flowing lines, which convey speed, aerodynamic efficiency and rugged construction. A rich leather interior, equipped with the latest certified avionics, installed in a pilot friendly "tilted instrument panel", gives Sigma a valid claim to the title "Sports Car of the Sky". After take off one can retract the gear and feel a truly sophisticated and powerful aircraft at their command.

The Sigma aircraft come with a choice of power plant options. The "Quiet One", primarily for the European market, has a Lycoming I0-540 engine de-rated to 230 hp. With a four blade composite propeller, at maximum power, the Sigma 230 performs well below the lowest European JAR sound level requirements. A higher performance version, Sigma 250, using the Lycoming I0-540 engine at 250 hp, is offered in the areas where external sound levels are less critical.

The Sigma 310, offered with the Continental I0 550N engine at 310 hp, will have a top speed at sea level in excess of 210 knots, making it a true performance leader in its class!

This very attractive aircraft is the brainchild of Horst Ruschmeyer, a well-regarded German aeronautical-design engineer. His team designed the aircraft and led it through the LBA and FAA Certification process as the R-90 of Ruschmeyer Aircraft GmbH. This was the very first all composite aircraft in this class to be certified by the FAA. Horst Ruschmeyer is now a valued-team member of the new organization, which is presenting this dynamic line of aircraft to the world market.

SOLARIS AVIATION, INC., a U. S. based company, was quietly established in 1999, and purchased the assets of Ruschmeyer Aircraft, GmbH. SOLARIS AVIATION, INC. holds the FAA Type Certificate and the Production Certificate, along with all the molds and necessary tooling for full production. The current ownership of SOLARIS AVIATION is comprised of a small group of entrepreneurs. Anitoli Stobe, a very successful German electronics manufacturer; Bernd Hager, a German businessman; and David Schuldt, an American associate, round out the investment team. David Schuldt, a highly successful entrepreneur in the electronics field, has accepted the Chairman's responsibilities. These three gentlemen bring a high degree of business acumen to the company.

President, Nick Schneider, also an American, is an experienced, proven executive, formerly with a leading U. S. general aviation manufacturer. Schneider also brings unique talents to this team as a veteran general aviation pilot (with a Commercial License) and a strong marketing background. With his fluency in English, German and Russian, Schneider will lead the company in its worldwide business plan.

Another veteran general aviation executive, George Rodgers, is Vice President of SOLARIS AVIATION. He and Nick Schneider have worked very well together in the past and Rodgers' experience, along with his many world-wide aviation contacts, will make a significant contribution to the new team.

The retractable gear models of the SOLARIS AVIATION product line are designated Sigma, and the fixed gear models are designated Alpha. At EAA's "Airventure 2001", SOLARIS will introduce all three retractable gear models, with a production aircraft on display. Information on each model will be available, and orders will be taken with initial deliveries scheduled for fall 2002.

SOLARIS AVIATION has recently acquired an 11 acre complex, which includes a 110,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility, in Bielsko-Biala, Poland. The more labor-intensive composite portions of the aircraft will be produced there. This facility has previously been utilized in the production of composite gliders; therefore, an experienced labor force is available. With the Polish labor rate being significantly lower than that of the United States, there will be beneficial-cost savings. This production advantage will aid SOLARIS AVIATION in pricing their products very competitively.

The large composite segments - the fuselage, wings and tail section - will be shipped to Florida for final aircraft assembly. The engine, landing gear, interior and avionics installation will take place at the West Palm Beach assembly plant.

To date, over $26 million has been invested in the development of these aircraft. Key to the business plan is that FAA Certification has been completed and the Production Certificate has been obtained. All molds and tooling have been acquired and twenty-six aircraft have already been manufactured and delivered. Chairman, Schuldt announced "we now are seeking the second-round financing in order to develop our headquarters and staff in the U. S. and Europe; and to bring the aircraft into full-scale production. It is our plan to have these U. S. aircraft effectively compete in the new-global aviation market".

Taking delivery of this "Sports Car of the Sky" in sunny Southern Florida will certainly be a memorable experience for the customers of SOLARIS AVIATION.
